Hi, I'm Mary Calvert...
Broker Associate heading up the Joe Clement Team with RE/MAX Properties, Inc.
I know you don't know me, so I want to share a little bit about
who I am and explain our business philosophy.
My Life
I moved to Colorado from California in 1986 hoping to have children and raise them in a peaceful place which offers a wide variety of outdoor activities and incredible natural beauty --a high quality of life. Before giving birth to two boys, I traveled Colorado extensively. I skied a dozen of the best downhill ski resorts; jostled across a lot of awesome 4-wheel drive mountain passes; camped in many types of places; and I learned to cross-country ski. I love climbing Pikes Peak and I really enjoy mountain biking. Having become so familiar with all that this part of Colorado has to offer, it was a natural thing for me to focus my real estate efforts toward helping others who are relocating here. However, over time my business has grown to where I also list a lot of homes for sale and manage properties as well.
My
Job
I chose to become a real estate professional because there
are so many things about the business that appeal to me. I feel
good when I have helped someone find a home about which they are
excited. It is gratifying to relieve the stress people often feel
when selling their home. Putting together a deal which satisfies
the needs of all the parties involved is rewarding. I love working
for myself and I take pride in providing people the opportunity
to have someone represent them with integrity, sincerity and
competence.
My
Style
I have never considered myself to be sales person. When a home sale transaction is completed I never feel that I sold anyone anything. I may have helped a seller locate a buyer or helped a new resident find that right home and neighborhood, but I didn't really sell anything. Accordingly, it's hard for me to do the traditional things that sales people seem to have to do. Everyone seeks new business, and I do too. However, cold calling, look-at-me ads, and endless mailers, are not really my style. Instead, I try to spend my time taking care of my real estate clients. My goal is to make every transaction as smooth and as painless as possible. This means I look for ways to anticipate difficult situations and eliminate surprises. It is my responsibility to plan every step in a transaction, solve problems, and respond to calls and questions in a timely manner. In other words, I prefer establishing a long-standing relationship with my clients-not just one fast deal. And.... I think since I do my job right, people are excited about my standard of service and they feel totally comfortable referring me to their co-workers, friends and family .... that results in new business!!!
